I started writing Optimize YOUR Bnb in July 2017 while staying at an Airbnb in Estonia. I met Veronika while exploring Old Town Tallinn. When I found out Veronika was an Airbnb host, I asked to see her listing. I saw potential, but her online listing wasn't much. I told Veronika about how I optimize Airbnb listings. We agreed that I would stay at her listing for a small discount in exchange for a fully optimized Airbnb listing. As of November 2017, Veronika has 10 5-star reviews.
I wrote Optimize YOUR Bnb to reach more hosts like Veronika. This book contains the culmination of my five-year experience with Airbnb from being an employee and a guest, to a host, to Superhost, and to starting an Airbnb property management company. A must have tool for professional hosts. We manage over 50 properties in Baja California Sur, Mexico and this book has been an excellent resource on how to outstand our listings in a growing market like ours. Lots of airbnb's are daily appearing in our city where there are no current regulations as in other countries. So how can we be competitive vs lower rates and owners who haven't done an operational analysis cost that is costing them money without them knowing it? How can we compete AND excel our customer service? This is our daily challenge. And we found the answers and additional tools in Danny's book.Reading it is quick and easy and makes a lot of sense based on personal experiences. I had my doubts about applying them in a different country but I could see results not only in bookings but also attracting the kind of guests our client's homes needed and the reviews that help us sell the unique experience our homes can offer (we are getting close to 300) and guest who leave a great feedback to us. This is what we pursue in the end. I usually take screenshots that I can share with my team about innovative ideas or things I can follow up and improve on our properties.I'm happy to recommend this book for anybody who's looking forward to improve their hosting experience. Results and reviews will come your way.If you follow this, you will dummy proof your Airbnb Danny wrote a great book on how to not only optimize your listing, but to place, and keep your Airbnb listing at the highest efficiency, make it highly automated (so you can have a life) and also most profitable. Some of the things in the book, i had kind of figured out on my own.... but mostly, it was filled with plenty more great ideas and nuggets of info that have improved my listing, far beyond what i would have figured out on my own. It probably took Danny just as long, but that's why we're getting a book filled with his past 5-10 years of experience; so hopefully we can do it in 5-10 months.I have changed a ton of things on my listing and directly used some of his verbiages for some of the less specific kind of categories. I would say i changed something in every single one of the categories. It looks better, and it reads much better too. I liked all of the tips for Low Season as the majority of places have them typically. That is my next project as we are in the heart of the low right now.I also reached out to Danny by email and he was super quick to respond to each email. This guy has dedication and a great work ethic. I'd invest in his start up :)Thanks DannyDefinitely worth a read! I'm a newbie to Airbnb and this gave me quick and actionable tips/tricks to update my listing. It goes through everything from how to create a catchy title to updating your description to ensuring the appropriate amenities are marked. I bought the book read through it, really enjoyed and also opted to purchase his online version on Udemy. Although I'm new to this, I don't think this book is just for new hosts, as part of this you'll get to understand your market better and will be in a position to ensure your listing is better then the next.
